Hartford Family Winery is a family owned Artisan winery. It was founded in 1993as a result of Don and Jennifer Hartford's appreciation for the wines, the people, and the unique vineyards near their Russian River Valley Home.

The Hartford Family makes wines under two marks: Hartford and Hartford Court. Hartford Court bottlings are small lots of high-personality single vineyard Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays that express the distinctive qualities of each vineyard's terroir - the interplay of soil, slope, exposure and climate.

Hartford wines are Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs, assembled by blending fruit from several prestigious vineyard sources. In addition, old-vine Russian River Valley Zinfandels are made from a few select, old-vine vineyards.

The winery embraces minimum intervention, traditional winemaking techniques and farms vineyards on a block-by-block basis to accentuate each site's individual characteristics.
